Episode 33 - Military Kid Travel - Sidra Blackwelder
People always say that life is too short, but Sidra Blackwelder knows that life can be long and full. With a set of military parents she’s a military kid who appreciates all the opportunities it gave her. After settling into her move to college – her 8th move by the way – Sidra shares with us the value in experiencing new things by highlighting how the places she’s gone back to regularly (ie Maryland) have stayed the same, yet she always comes back different. She’s traveled to 19 countries and in our conversation share how she learned to appreciate and value other cultures like she does American culture. Listen as she talks about how like a new kid on the playground she uses her interests to find "her people" and make connections quickly and easily. Sidra even gives a glimpse into how her present travel plans are fueling her future aspirations.
Life is too long to regret not trying something, and she knows that travel is not something she will ever regret.
